Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has served Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif with a defamation notice.
Asif had blamed Khan of speculating in Dubai real estate with the donations he had collected for his charity hospital for cancer patients. He also alleged that Khan had transferred Rs4.50 billion outside the country from Shaukhat Khanum Memorial Hospital accounts.
In an earlier press conference, Khan had shunned Asif’s allegations as “baseless”, and he had declared that he would take Asif to court.
The PTI chief had said that the allegations had caused damage to the fund collection for “Pakistan’s biggest charity hospital” and that if this continues, thousands of patients will be affected.

In order to transfer funds to Dubai from Pakistan, there is absolutely no need to send the wire to British Virgin Islands first, unless someone is trying to remove/diminish the fingerprints. Just wondering!!!!!!

well a little legal knowledge for a few people over here: It is a common practice to send a legal notice first so that the other person can settle/apologize without having to go to the court. A notice period is given in the legal notice and it's expiry leads to legal proceedings in a court of law.

This will backfire . IK will be found guilty of misappropriating funds through shell companies through trustee ejaz haidery , the net result being a plot of illiquid land in Oman .

Kh asif has one chance to apologise, otherwise he will be taken to court. Just like hanif Abbasi has been, and who has been avoiding his court date since 3rd May 2012.
A step in the right direction. I hope that this would help us to put an end to the culture of putting baseless allegations on others without any solid proof.
