Domestic violence: Man arrested for setting wife on fire

Accused Imran sprinkled his wife Amina with kerosene oil and set her on fire, says Complainant

FAISALABAD: Madina Town police on Monday arrested a man for setting his wife on fire. Doctors treating her said that she was in a critical condition. Complainant Muhammad Sarwar, father of the deceased, said that his son-in-law, Imran often quarrelled with his daughter, Amina. He said on Monday, Imran sprinkled Amina with kerosene oil and set her on fire. She was taken to a hospital, where doctors said that she had 80 per cent burns. Imran was arrested.
