KARACHI:

In order to protest against the government’s recent decision to increase the price of petroleum products, the All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association has threatened to call for a strike from September 10.

Talking to The Express Tribune, the association’s spokesperson, Israr Ahmed Shinwari, said that the body is not pleased with the recent rise in the prices of petroleum products and demanded the government to revoke its decision. “We are not in the mood to put up with the new prices,” said Shinwari. “By increasing prices every second week, the government is forcing us to stop our vehicles and turn them into scrap. We have no other option.”
