The caterers for the wedding banquet of popular pop singer Annie were arrested for continuing with the ceremony after 10 pm - a delay which is not allowed under section 144 of the Punjab Penal Code.

The wedding, which was being held at Divine Garden South Cantonment Police Precincts, was raided by police officials of Nadrabad on the special instruction of commissioner Lahore Jawad Rafique Malik.

Police arrested four to five persons from Divine Garden and also made an attempt to arrest the groom. The attempt was however foiled by the family of groom which overpowered the police and made way for the groom to exit the function.
