Crackdown operation: Four militants caught, blast in Landi Kotal

BARA: Security forces arrested four militants and recovered a huge arms cache in Khyber Agency on Saturday. According to a TV channel, the forces conducted an operation in Zakhakhel area of Landi Kotal.

They claimed to have recovered 46 mortar shells from different hideouts, while the militants under police custody were shifted to the Landi Kotal FC Cantonment. In a separate incident, a bomb exploded at around 8pm in the Pero Khel area of Landi Kotal, partially damaging a clothes shop.

The explosion caused no human loss.

Security forces rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area after the incident.
