I am a position holder but, unfortunately, have yet to be given a laptop.
LAHORE: According to the Punjab government’s scheme for academically gifted students, laptops were to be given to those who had obtained positions in examinations. I am one such student but, unfortunately, have yet to be given a laptop. In fact, many other university colleagues of mine, all of them high achievers and, hence, eligible under the scheme have yet to be given anything. This may be because of the fact that all of us are enrolled in evening programmes but that still does not explain why we haven’t been awarded as per the government’s own much-publicised scheme.
