ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Friday rebuked Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for alleging that the government doled out money from the exchequer in shape of advertisements to appease media houses.

The minister said that Nisar levelled baseless corruption allegations against media persons that they were taking benefits from the Presidency, but when he was taken to task by the media organisations, Nisar started maligning the PPP leadership.

He said that if the opposition leader had any proof, he should make it public.

Regarding the claim by Nisar that he had heard the recording of conversation between persons involved in the game of media bribing, Kaira wondered if the leader of opposition was working for a secret agency.

Everybody knows that only secret agencies have equipment to record such conversation and Chaudhry Nisar should inform the nation which agency he is working for, which provided him such information, he added.
