Senseless brawl: Three injured by MPA’s men

Three men including the bus conductor were injured and were shifted to the Pims.

ISLAMABAD: Men wielding batons and guns attacked the staff of a bus that had come from Pind Dadan Khan near Sabzi Mandi on Friday. Three men including the bus conductor were injured and were shifted to the Pims. A police official quoting Mubashir Ahmed, the conductor, said that he received a call from Fiaz Kharal, secretary of Punjab assembly member Shams Haider from Pind Dadan Khan, threatening him of dire consequences over a brawl over a seat where he took the side of a woman.  The investigation officer said the suspects arrived at the Sabzi Mandi bus terminal where the bus was parked and attacked the conductor. Two passengers were also injured. Thee assailants also fired in the air before getting away. The woman in question had already gotten off the bus in Rawalpindi before the bus arrived at its last stop in Sabzi Mandi, police said. The Sabzi Mandi police registered a case. Shams Haider was unreachable on his phone.
