Border coordination: General Allen due in Islamabad

Visit is expected to focus on reviewing progress between US and Pakistan on border coordination mechanisms.

RAWALPINDI: General John Allen, Commander Isaf in Afghanistan is expected to arrive in Islamabad on Thursday. The visit is expected focus on reviewing progress between US and Pakistan on the recently evolved border coordination mechanisms and standard operating procedures. According to a press release issued by ISPR, General Allen will hold detailed talks with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani which are expected to improve coordination between the two forces.
