The attack is the latest in a spree of shootings this year by Afghan soldiers, or militants dressed as soldiers, on Nato forces in Afghanistan.
Nato did not provide any further details.
Earlier in the week two US soldiers were killed by a rogue Afghan soldier in the capital. The deaths in Laghman province brought to 12 the number of foreign soldiers killed this month alone, prompting NATO to increase security against insider attacks, including requiring soldiers to carry loaded weapons at all times on base.
There have been 33 insider attacks so far this year that have led to 42 coalition deaths. That is a sharp increase from 2011, when, during the entire year, 35 coalition troops were reported killed in such attacks, 24 of whom were American.

"Outsiders" are actually the insiders... they are Afghans and it is their country. It is you-- the Americans and NATO troops who are the outsiders -- the invaders and the occupational forces, and who will all end up like the Americans in Viet Nam--either dead or chased out of the country with their tails between their legs.
Sad news for the Liberals.. This is the revenge of Kandahar Massacre and killing of innocent women, childeren and men, old and young and minors, revenge of burning of Quran.
Good job! Do more!
Changing of Intelligence chief by Karzai will not help in reversing the trend of insiders killing NATO soldiers. The US has to realize that the invaders of Afghanistan have always received the same treatment from the fiercely freedom loving Afghan people.
Now this shall happen and continue because this is harsh reality which no one can deny/reject,id est,as you saw so shall you reap or tit for tat.......
It is reply of US operation of FRIENDLY FIRING.
