PML-N reaches out to PTI for consultations over caretaker set-up
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament House, Nisar said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has started contacting political parties for a dialogue over the formation of an interim government.
“We have spoken to former Balochistan chief minister Akhtar Mengal and [Pashtoon nationalist leader from Balochistan] Mehmood Achakzai; we will make contact with Jamaat-e-Islami in a day or two,” Nisar said.
“I will reveal further details about the caretaker set-up this coming Saturday,” he added.
Earlier, PML-N had short-listed eight candidates for the post of caretaker prime minister.
The names, which have not been disclosed by the party as yet, are said to include senior politicians, retired judges and senior lawyers.

I hope democratic forces can come up wuth consensus soon. cuz establishment in full flow to destabilize them as the wind of change is blowing and their power fading. Before imran khan started taking all these lotas and ex musharaf supporters, we actually had a CHANGE! and these status quo people where insignificant. but they brought imran in the pic and bingo!! the situation changed. All of a sudden everyone, be it pmln, ppp or pti, is after people like kasuri, Amir moqam, Tareen, chattas, etc etc. So there is no doubt, that imran with the help of establishment is here to only keep the status quo!
Despite my all differences with PML-N, i would like to appreciate PML-N's move to consult PTI and other political parties outside the parliament. This is a way forward for political system. Great PML-N, keep it up. To the PTI supporters: Please don't be biased and praise the move of PML-N. Good things always be praised.
its good that PMLN talking to PTI and it should only be for caretaker setup coz PTI's Success is only in staying away from PMLN.

PML-N is not a political party but a group of people joined under Nawaz. Now this group of people trying hard to have some part in next government! They were waiting for their turn for government, woken up from day dream by PTI and now trying to justify its existance.!
All ruling parties will attempt to make caretaker set up in their interest because their goals are common. They will attempt detriment of PTI movement.

Credibility of care taker will be zero if consent of the PTI is not there, that is why PMLN forced to consult.
@Azim Pti can not give any support to Pmln on this issue and Pmln dont need support. PPP can not make interim government without the help of opposition bcz 18th amendment dont allow them. It was a good gesture from Pmln but some people are too bad ..........
PML-N thinks its still 1990 when Nawaz Sharif reached Prime Minister's office after sitting on the elephant of IJI.

@Azim PMLN is just showing some courtesy, don't get so much excited over it. Nobody wants to give trolls an excuse of rigged elections, although it doesn't make much difference anyway. PMLN is taking all opposition parties on board and during that process they contacted PTI but somehow it looks like trolls are taking that as a sign of their presumed strength. I am quite sure if caretakers are formed without consulting PTI and elections are held and we get expected results that is PTI is a single digit party, IK will threaten to launch his soonami. As always after sometime he will make another u-turn and we will be seeing him talking drones again.
Seems like nawaz leagues are standing alone and need some support :) why contact a party (PTI) that according to your party view (Nawaz view) is a concert part? why suddenly you want to engage with a party that according to your party views(Nawaz views) has no right in politics given it has not a single seat in parliament today, and btw PTI is the same party against which your leaders made serious money laundering allegations.....so what makes you suddenly take a u.turn? must be need of the hour for your election agenda...... :)
PML-N a party created by establishment, a party leadership that was leading the IJI (thanks to ISI funding against PPP), a party full of industrialist, sugar and cement mafia, as well as feudal lords...finally decide to take a bitter pill to engage with real force in market but only in its party not national interest.... anyhow good that PMLN has recognized the Sunami :)
An unbiased consulted interim government is just a myth created by the status quo to fool Pakistanis. For me and most of Pakistan the dubious opposition leader has no credibility. But we just love sham democracy so let the interim games begin.

PTI has no elected member in any assembly so PTI supporters should take it as a positive step of PML-N rather than a requirement.
It is the second best move in recent months.PMLN and PPP deserve credit for nominating a fair capabale and nuetral CEC .I hope and wish they exhibit the same spirit for caretaker Govt.Both will be remembered for it if they do. Of course PTI has a big value currently in Pak politics and it is wise for PMLN to bring them on board so nobody can cry foul later. For PTI though I have one advise;Dont be narrow minded. Target the whole of Pakistan and do not compromise with any party.You are loosing credibility by the day by appearing to appease PPP and MQM .

PMLN has no choice but to contact PTI. PTI is a major player in Pak politics so PMLN cannot afford to ignore PTI otherwise there will be a tsunami and Raiwind palace will be blown to smithreens.
PTI shud react maturely if pmln and pti create a joint opposition it will be a nigh mare for zardari
@jibran: You're not making any sense.
PTI and PML(N) should cooperate with each other in the best interests of the country instead od confrontation which will benefit PPP and its allies only. This is a good move and must be continued in future as well.. They should also consider forming a grand alliance and include like-minded parties such as Jamat-i-Islami.
There are some rouge elements in every political party who do not want that their respective party leaders should come close to each other, otherwise the importance of rouge elements will diminish in the eyes of party leaders.
This PML vs PTI thing is getting pretty lame now.
