According to ISPR, General Allen will meet Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and they will focus on reviewing the progress made in implementation of recently evolved border coordination measures and standing operating procedure.
General Allen had been holding meeting with Kayani recently in efforts to improve the cross border cooperation between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nato troops.
Pakistan and the US had also signed a deal earlier this month governing Nato convoys travelling through Pakistan into Afghanistan until the end of 2015, well beyond the scheduled withdrawal of the bulk of Nato troops in 2014.

I said the border cooperation initiative is going nicely. There has been an a lot of recent success in successfully targeting and killing high level terrorists on both sides of the border by ISAF/Afgan army and drones. It sure would be nice to see a push into FATA by the Pak army to squeeze them further.
New do more list is expected which may includes an immediate launch of NW operation
Vienna,August 29,2012 It is interesting to note General Allen is traveling to Islamabad apparently on own initiative. In other words he has problems. If General Kayani has problems he will go to Kabul and meet General Allen. The general shuttle diplomacy is good sign. Taravadu Taranga Trust for Media Monitoring TTTMM India --Kulamarva Balakrishna
They both have to sort out whether Pakistan and US would be partnering in a joint or coordinated operation against militants in NWA or Pakistan has decided to opt out from the same after coming under severe criticism from the religous parties and TTP.
