Contempt of court: SC summons Malik Riaz on September 17
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Ijaz chaudhry began hearing the case in which Riaz remained absent. Riaz’s counsel Dr Basit told the court that his client had filed an application seeking time to go abroad for medical treatment.
However, a petitioner named Ashraf Gujjar said that the treatment could be done in Pakistan, as well.
Justice Khan in his remarks said that it was an individual’s constitutional right to get the treatment of his choice.
The Supreme Court directed Attorney General Irfan Qadir and the petitioners to gather evidence and present witnesses.
Riaz had tendered an unconditional apology for his press conference in which, with a pocket-sized copy of the Holy Quran in his hand he had hurled serious, but contradictory charges against Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and his son, Dr Arsalan Iftikhar, on an issue that is sub judice, and in defiance of an apex court order to speak to the media.

The CJ is corrupt to his core. What a sad story of this country
Mr Arsalans company website containing his dealings mentions the prominent Telecom companies he has worked for but not his real estate ventures (since he himself said that his business is real estate and telecom, I would like to see the list of real estate clients as well).
It is also important to mention that most of the companies mentioned on the website have or had cases in the higher judiciary. Someone once explained to me that “the CJ used to squeeze us when he didn’t get his way”. On further enquiry, it was explained that if someone didn’t listen to the CJ, he would get a case registered against that person and then take it up in the court.
I think Riaz also meant this when he used the word “screw” and the same thing must have happened to the companies that Mr. Arsalan did business with.

@ Khalq e Khda This is all because of FREE AND ( UN ) FAIR ADLIAMr Riaz do not bow to the pressure tactics of this Court. This Court has one point agenda to restore the status quo by destabilising the government and destroying anyone that directly or indirectly supports the democratic process.
Dr Arsalan's appeals get adjourned for six weeks, judgements are reserved but not announced and he is given three dozen guards out of state money as per the orders of daddy dear but others are made example of in the name of judicial independence.
