According to reports, armed men opened indiscriminate fire at Ghulam Mustafa Surani while he was sitting in Surab Bazaar.
He was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Soon after the incident the police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
After the incident workers of PPP Sherpao protested in the hospital and shouted slogans against the government.
