Ahmadinejad expected to visit Pakistan

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is expected to visit the flood-hit areas of Pakistan to witness the impact of the natural disaster that has engulfed Iran's eastern neighbour.


IRNA news agency has quoted official sources as saying that the Iranian president has decided to personally visit the affected areas to decide how to help the flood victims. The date for Ahmadinejad's visit is yet to be decided.


One of the worst natural disasters in Pakistan's history, the floods triggered by monsoon rains have affected 20 million people and killed more than 1,600 people across the country.
