A family of five was aboard the car and heading towards Timergara from Khal.
Saddam Hussain and his son Ayaz were injured, while his wife Akhtar Zia, 20-year old daughter Hina and cousin Hussain Ahmed died on the spot.
The accused truck driver will be charged for negligence, Officer Bakhtiar at the Timergara police station said.
Locals rushed to the accident site and pulled the bodies from the destroyed vehicle. The injured and dead were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital, Timergara and both vehicles were taken into custody by the police.
The casualty in-charge, requesting not to be named, said the victims died due to multiple wounds.
“Ayaz is in a critical condition and relatives have come from Swat to shift the bodies to their hometown for burial.”
