Crime roundup: Two suspected robbers 20 outlaws arrested

Margalla police also arrested two suspected robbers red-handed as they were fleeing the scene of a robbery.

The Islamabad police arrested 20 outlaws on Sunday from different parts of the city and seized liquor, weapons and stolen valuables from their possession.


According to a police spokesperson, the Margalla police arrested two suspected robbers red-handed as they were fleeing the scene of a robbery. The suspects, Pir Shah and Sajid Shah, had looted Mumtaz Ahmed’s house in G-9/1 when the police reached the spot and arrested them. The police also seized a dagger and recovered stolen items from their possession.

Meanwhile, Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police arrested two suspected thieves, Imran and Wahid, and recovered stolen items worth thousands of rupees from them.

The Kohsar police arrested Zameer on theft charges, while the Tarnol police seized four bottles of wine from a bootlegger Safeer.

The Sabzi Mandi police arrested Ashraf and Abdul Ali and seized 20 bottles of liquor from them, while the Industrial Area police apprehended Iqbal for carrying an unlicensed 30-bore pistol.

In addition, the Ramna police held Sajid Mahmood for illegally refilling gas cylinders, while the Aabpara police hauled in 10 persons including three women for their alleged involvement in “immoral activities”.

Separate cases have been registered against the suspects.
