A two-day Eid festival for youth and families kicked off at Bhurban Cricket Stadium, Murree on Friday.
The festival, that features folk musical programmes, food stalls and games for children, was attended by 5,000 people on its first day.
The festival was organised by Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab. While inaugurating the festival, Murree Assistant Commissioner Tariq Chandio said the festival is being held in light of the Punjab chief minister’s instructions to provide recreation to people.
He said the festival’s concluding ceremony, scheduled to take place today, will showcase an enthralling musical programme. More than 15,000 people are expected to visit the festival on its second day.
