Cockroaches of the human kind (II)

Letter August 24, 2010

LAHORE: Fasi is one of those journalists who really cares about mistreatment towards minorities. I want to thank him because he has exposed the mistreatment of Ahmadis, and I am an Ahmadi. I was in the Model Town worship place in Lahore on May 28 for Friday prayers at the time of the attack. I have seen the whole episode with my own eyes and did not think I would survive, but Allah saved me. I was very disheartened after hearing the views of some journalists on these attacks but after reading your article I am confident that there are still some people in Pakistan who support what is right and stand up against what is wrong.

Better practice what you preach madam Bushra Fiaz. Stop being judgmental yourself .. and how can you equate two incidents?
Bushra Faiz | 13 years ago | Reply This is in reference to Fasi Zaka's article 1 and 2. I agreed with him the the first time and obviously the second. Second more , because he presented humility when he admitted himself as wrongly judging someone. We were human cockroaches when lal masjid was gassed.Only there was no one to film how miserably humans suffocated to death,it didn't shame us.Only because it was assumed that lal masjid residents were ''threat''so it was fine to burn them alive. Maybe Hitler thought Jews were ''threat'' so it was OK to gas or slaughter them , right? The Sialkot incidence also took its toll because it was filmed for the COCKROACH nation. Had it been a small article in the city newspaper, nobody would have cared. My heart goes out to the two brothers and all the other humans who are wrongly and unfairly judged by 'us', the better humans and so we play God for most of them and decide who should live ,die, get food, help or even deserve Zakat. With my last statement I would like to mark two other articles on Al-huda by Khalid Ahmed and Habiba Younis, where very judgemental and irrelevant statements were made . With smile and Salam being my first lesson , I learnt quran at Al- Huda . Being a student for long I haven't experienced anything of the sort that these people have ,being spectators.Indeed I would like to narrate one of the lessons i learnt and that when a student narrated a particular event to a particular sect ,negatively. The teacher seriously condoned it and said we are no better Muslims than the other and had absolutely no right to judge them and so nobody was allowed to name any other in future . I would only sum up by requesting ''Lets leave the judgment to GOD''.
