ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Monday warned the country’s military it had set up a “suicide bombers squad” to hit troops if an offensive is launched in a restive tribal area bordering Afghanistan.

In an email message sent to media, TTP, an umbrella militant group, said it had received “an exclusive intelligence report” about the offensive in North Waziristan from its “sources” in army headquarters.

TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan outlined details about the regiments and units and the possible commander for the campaign, said to be launched on August 26 for one month.

“TTP has also prepared itself for resistance, we have set up a suicide bombers squad to welcome (the) army. We will defeat our enemy, whom is defending secular, unIslamic system of Pakistan by punching them back hard InshaAllah (God willing),” Ehsan said.

Military officials were not immediately available to comment on the claim.

On August 3, The Wall Street Journal reported Pakistani and US officials were considering joint counter-terrorism campaigns in Afghanistan and Pakistan against Haqqanis and Taliban fighters.

The report said the campaigns would mark an upturn in cooperation between the two countries after more than a year of rancorous relations, since the US raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

Pakistani officials later denied any agreement with Washington for a joint operation in North Waziristan, and said “routine” actions on each side of the border “should not be mistaken for ‘joint operations'”.

Washington has long demanded Pakistan take action against the Haqqanis, which the United States accused of attacking the US embassy in Kabul last September and acting like the “veritable arm” of Pakistani intelligence.

Pakistan has in turn demanded Afghan and US forces do more to stop Pakistani Taliban militants crossing the border to launch attacks on its forces.

TTP should stop wasting its time giving threats, because the people of Pakistan, just dont want to hear it. TTP threatens, but we want to blame someone else. Must be really hard being the TTP spokesman, must be really demotivating.

TTP is rather stupid. Suicide bombers are effective because you don’t see them coming. If you know there’s a squad waiting, they’re not too hard to pick off.

what nonsense ..these so called intelligence report was officially leaked by Leone panneta and wall street journal.. rest about the timings are pure deliberate fiction from TTP. To demoralize enemy is an art of war, no senior army personnel will have the guts to leak these infromation to TTP as allready they are being monitored by the relevant agencies. Now it is time for pakistan army to take the simmilar decision they took for swat i.e. they singled out gangs of fazllulah as their main enemy and now it is time for them to single out the part of Taliban to which Ehsanullah ehsan belongs. They must take the offensive to Kunar province and nooristan areas otherwise nothing will be acheived.Afghanistan has become a focal point of all terrorist activities inside pakistan and it is a real shame that government of Pakistan has not threatened to shoot down drones which on daily basis attacks only North wazir. and not Kunar and nooristan province. Pak army must not attack North waziristan taliban except those groups that are helping gang of Ehsanullah ehsan. Meanwhile nation anti task force should be formed with the help of millitary courts to flush out sleeper cells in other province of pakistan at the earliest.

Every soldier when recruited in Pakistan Army knows very well that he is been recruited to fight and defend Pakistan.

TTP by saying that it has come to know from the ‘sources’ from Pakistan Army is not possible.

TTp does not know the strength of Pakistan Army.

Suicide bombers cannot deter the determination of the Jawans of Pakistan Army as they are born to die for Pakistan.

If Pakistan Army will launch a full scale operation against TTP, few TTP men with the guns in hands will be completely wiped out by Pakistan Army from Pakistan.

Pak army is the best in the world? Let us review history. They were bested by Indians in 1965, 1971, Siachen and Kargill. What is the criteria for declaring then as ‘best’?

Why are we still tolerating these people, they’re an aggressive cancer, hijacking this country’s illiterate, gullible society and forcing us to ‘revert’ to some Pushtunwali-Wahabbi-‘Emirate’ – the result? A horrific country to live in, with nutjobs walking around thinking they’re mini-gods, harassing anyone deemed too ‘unIslamic’ and inviting the rightful scorn and disgust of the rest of the world.
I hate travelling with the Pakistani passport – when will I be able to proudly say that I’m Pakistani without eliciting images of a violent, retrogressive country among foreigners?

North & South Waziristan are the defacto Taliban state. The Pakistani troops in Miranshah never venture out of their base. It’s about time that the Taliban are bought to heel. Thirty days of around-the-clock air raids followed by a ground assault by 150K troops should do the trick. Kill all the Uzbeks, Arabs and other foreigners in the area. Let’s see how the suicide bombers do against a determined infantry assault. A little different than blowing up unsuspecting civilians.

It is only a matter of determined will by the army and TTP militants in North/ South Waziristan can be eliminated without much difficulty and also causality. the only worry is sympathetic attitude of ignorant people. Of course TTP safe heaven needs to be covered by forces in Afghanistan too. the coordinated attack on TTP and Haqqani network has to be carried out simultaneously to get the true mutual support and coordination.

There is no difference between disinformation and propaganda. This is deliberately spread to mislead the public and win support, to win sympathy, or to divert the attention, which it has done in your case. Since, there are sympathizers in the GHQ then you have to blame our infernal molvis who spread fear in the minds of the poor, to the extent that a mongoloid girl has a case registered against her.

Suicide bombing is not new and do not underestimate your forces. Today in Pakistan, the persons who are demoralized are the defeated. This war is an imbroglio and the start and end of this very long imbroglio is known only to history.

Let us just take care of what we have been given graciously by Allmighty Allah and through the strenuous efforts of the Muslim League. Do not be disheartened by circumstances because we have ourselves only to blame. Primarily, for not wanting to think clearly and act and to talk before a sentence has been completed. Do not vote for the present lot of politicians. Do not back down when a molvi speaks and start asking him questions. Rightly, pay your taxes. And “When you see a wrong stop it. If you cannot stop it, condemn it by words. If you are unable to condemn it in words, condemn it in your heart.” (Prophet Muhammad SM)

It is easy to see that these terrorists are showing signs of nervousness. They responded to the speculation about a joint operation in NWA by issuing a threat against the Pakistani army. These terrorists have already targeted GHQ in Rawalpindi, a naval base in Karachi, and the Minhas base of the PAF at Kamra last week. We encourage the Pakistani army to remain vigilant against these terrorists. At the same time, we want to make it clear that we have no intentions to step our boots inside Pakistani territory. But we fully support Pakistan in its fight against insurgents, and have encouraged the Pakistani government to target those who are working against our efforts to stabilize the region. With that said, ultimately, it will be up to the Pakistani army to decide the best course of action. We stand by Pakistan and hope to use our renewed alliance against these terrorists.

TTP by its statements is determined to prove that it is against Pakistan and that the Pak army should move against them as soon as possible. What kind of jihad is it which targets only fellow Muslism?
And yet, there are ‘leaders’ in Pakistan who think well of them!!

Eradication of this extremist disease should be enhanced with a proper secure border fence along Afghan/Iran border. Pakistan has nearly 100bn $ in swiss bank, they should spend it on this and other infrastructure investment to boost local economy with jobs.
