Crime: Eight outlaws held; bike stolen

RAWALPINDI: The Pirwadhai police on Saturday arrested eight outlaws and seized stake money, hashish, a weapon, stolen cash and cell phones from their possession. In the first incident, the police raided a gambling den in Bangash Colony and arrested Zafar, Saleem, Ghulam Nabi and Ghaniur Rehman and seized Rs950 cash and two cell phones from them. The same police seized 1.2kg of hashish from Rashid, a 30-bore pistol with three bullets from Qamar and stolen cash and valuables from Ashraf and Qamar. The police registered separate cases under the relevant laws and started investigations. Meanwhile, Muhammad Amir lodged a complaint with the police that his motorcycle (UM-488) had been stolen from the parking lot of Awan Market.
