Domestic dispute: Young man commits suicide

HARIPUR: A young man committed suicide over domestic issues in Khalabat Township on Saturday. Police quoted Tassadaq Hussain of Qureshi Chowk as saying that his younger brother Liaqat Hussain, 25, exchanged harsh words with their father, Fida Hussain, over some domestic issue and locked himself in his bedroom. He shot himself in the stomach with a 12 bore shotgun and was injured seriously. The family members broke into his room and shifted him to the Women and Children Hospital, where he died due to bleeding before he could be provided medical care. Tassadaq said that his brother’s nikah (marriage deed) was solemnised two days back, and he was to be married after Eidul Fitr.
