ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s polio campaign was badly affected by the war on terror and natural calamities, said Prime Minister’s Special Assistant and Focal Person on Polio Eradication Shehnaz Wazir Ali.

Ali said that during the war on terror, a large number of people migrated from their areas to safer places which resulted in transferring the virus to the main cities like Karachi.

She urged the religious scholars to cooperate with health teams so that the polio eradication campaign could be made effective across the country.
