House sealed: NAB told to reply in two weeks

LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Thursday sought reply from the National Accountability Bureau on the petition of PPP MPA Zarqa Butt against sealing of her house. The petitioner said she had bought the house for Rs5.5 million and was paying her instalments. However, she said, two months later, the NAB had ousted her and her family from the house and sealed it. She said that under the mortgage deed she was entitled to the possession of the house till 2018. She said NAB authorities had illegally sealed the house and requested the court to direct them to de-seal it. The court directed the NAB authorities to file a reply in two weeks.
