Freedom of speech: Police register cases against journalists

Journalists condemned the cases registered against Karachi-based journalist Azad Nohrio and his family at Chhor police station. Mirpurkhas DIG Ghulam Haider Jamali has asked the police to look into the issue. Cases were filed against Nohrio, his father and four uncles. Two of his uncles, Ibrahim and Ismail, were also arrested by the police on Wednesday. Nohrio said that the police were doing this because he was highlighting important issues of the area. Noor Muhammad Nohri and some of his family members were also named in similar cases by the police.
