Unregistered business: 26 medical stores sealed

KHANEWAL: Health officers have sealed 26 medical stores and registered FIR against one of them on violation of law in 2012 so far, a district official said on Wednesday. District Coordination Officer Nadeem Mehboob in January launched a crackdown against quacks and unregistered medical stores in the district on the direction of the provincial government. The health officials raided 523 medical stores and sealed 26 of them. They referred 24 cases to the drug court, of which 12 were decided and violators were fined with Rs775,000.
