Main Kya Karoon: Barfi’s latest track

If you were blown away by Barfi’s trailer, then get ready to be smitten by the film’s latest track “Main Kya Karoon”. Nikhil Paul George’s soothing voice and Pritam’s composition add just the perfect touch to this number, which will surely bring the romantic out of you (even if it is buried deep inside!).

What we love:

The lyrics, the video and Ranbir Kapoor! This beautiful love song shows the Ranbir as an innocent yet mischievous young man who cannot speak. His persistent efforts to woo his lady love — played by Illeana D’Cruz — speak volumes of his acting skills, as his expressions, not words, do all the talking. His body language and goofy antics remind us of the kings of silent comedy, Mr Bean and Charlie Chaplin.

Unfortunately:

We hate to be the ones to say it but someone has to — Illeana’s make-up artist tried hard but failed to conceal her poor skin and bleached facial hair. While credit should be given to her costume designer for transporting us into the 70s with her outfits, the close-up shots of her face show that some scenes were shot when the actor had a bad skin phase on set.
