LAHORE:

Former South Korean ambassador to Pakistan Shin Un has said that Korea is interested in exporting cosmetics and health products to Pakistan.

A four-member delegation of the Korea-Pakistan Friendship Association visited the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Monday. The delegation was led by Shin Un, who met with PBIT Chief Executive Officer Habibur Rehman Gilani and other senior officials.

The delegates showed the PBIT officials Korean skin care products and other cosmetics which they were interested in introducing in Pakistan with help from the PBIT.

These Korean products were already being sold across the world and Punjab could be a good market for them as well, the former ambassador said.

Gilani, the PBIT’s chief executive officer, emphasised the potential of the retail sector and the large young urban population in the Punjab. He suggested that the two sides collaborate to encourage Korean tourists to visit the Punjab.
