KARACHI: A book on the current tensions between the West and Muslims has been published by the Area Study Centre for Europe, University of Karachi. The book entitled ‘Europe and the Muslim World: Coexistence or Conflict?’ has been authored by a former ambassador, Shahid M Amin, said the director of the centre, Prof. Dr Moonis Ahmar, on Monday. It gives a historical perspective on conflict and cooperation between the European and Muslim world. Dr Ahmar said that the publication reviews the historical and cultural background of Muslim presence in Europe and the present bias and intolerance prevailing in some European countries about Muslim immigrants. The 500-page book is the forth publication by Amin and is available at the Royal Book Company.
