Bomb disposal squad: Two bombs defused in Lakki Marwat

The bomb had been placed next to a tube-well, but was defused before it went off.

LAKKI MARWAT: Fifteen kilogrammes of explosive materials placed in two tin packs were defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) in Kotka Sultan, an official at Nawrang Police Station told The Express Tribune. The bomb had been placed next to a tube-well, but was defused before it went off. The bomb’s detonator, wires and a time-piece were found next to it as well. Nawrang Police registered an FIR against the unidentified assailants. In another incident, police informed the BDS about a bomb near an electric pillar in Tajazai, Lakki Marwat. BDS officials successfully defused the 2.5kg bomb. A Ghaznee Khel police official said the assailants had not been identified.
