Ajmal nominated for ICC’s top prize

Spinner in running for Test, ODI prize as well.

Saeed Ajmal has been nominated for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricketer of the Year and is also in the running for the top Test and One-Day International prizes as well.

The ICC Awards 2012, set to take place in Colombo on September 15, also see Shahid Afridi (ODI Cricketer), Mohammad Hafeez (Twenty20 performance and Spirit of cricket) and Junaid Khan (Emerging cricketer) feature in the nominations for Pakistan which are based on performance between August 4, 2011 and August 6, 2012. Aleem Dar, the three-time Umpire of the Year, and Asad Rauf are also present in the Umpire of the Year nomination.

The People’s Choice Award will be contested by a list of star names including James Anderson, Jacques Kallis, Vernon Philander, Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar and allows fans to vote for their favourite cricketer.

Shahid nazir and Jamal must be a part of one day team .both are super cricketer talent.
