Dasti ready to ‘offer services as PM’
“I am ready to offer my services as the next prime minister if the party leadership proposes, which might happen soon owing to the judiciary’s unconstitutional decisions,” Dasti told a news conference at the Multan press club.
Elaborating on various parties’ orientation, he said the next elections will reveal that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML- N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are “passengers on the same boat”, adding that the chief justice should stop the PML-N from becoming a dictatorial party in Punjab, if he is a part of an unbiased judiciary.
“PML-N’s hypocrisy became evident when it opposed the creation of a south Punjab province, and is now engineering a delay in selecting commission members for the new province,” he said and added that 25 days had passed since the commission was constituted, but no names had been given yet.
Dasti said that the coming elections will be completely transparent, and no party will be allowed to become the “don” of Pakistan.
Talking about where he would contest the upcoming elections, he said that he will contest from the NA-177 against Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.
“This is not my decision but the voice of the people. Since the last four years, Khar has visited her constituency only four times and people from her constituency approach me for their affairs,” Dasti added.

If Zardari can be the president and Gilani a Prime Minister then what short is Dasti to be our honorable and most competent yet dynamic leader which a country of 180 M can produce? His statement sounds like he is offering to go to jihad! True, the PM position has become so cheap that people have started calling out their name to offer what they believe is an ultimate sacrifice to sustain a corrupt system.

Wanted to be another passenger in the train. If he becomes the next PM it means God is still annoyed with this nation and we should pray for His forgiveness and in next election vote for the right people.
