School education: 10 per cent fee hike approved

Meeting agreed to allocate 60 per cent of the revenues from the increased fee to the salaries of the teachers

FAISALABAD: The Board of Governors (BoGs) of the Divisional Public School and College (DPSC) has approved a proposal for a 10 percent increase in academic fees,  said a statement released by the board to the press  on Sunday. The approval was granted in a meeting held with Divisional Commissioner Syed Tahir Husain in the chair on Sunday. The meeting also agreed to allocate 60 per cent of the revenues from the increased fee to the salaries of the teachers and the remaining amount to the improvement of facilities at the school and the college. The divisional commissioner later inaugurated construction work on a new college block at the Divisional Public School and College. He directed officials to ensure that construction was completed on schedule. He said the college. The commissioner praised the institute’s contribution to the education sector and hoped that the college would come up to the standards set by the institute.
