KARACHI: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has finalised 25 probables for the first national women training camp of the year, as the players gear up for the South Asian Championship that starts from September 7 in Colombo. The camp that started out with 33 players on August 4 concluded for the Eid break. Coach Tariq Lutfi will now prepare the team that will compete alongside India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan in the tournament. The camp will restart after Eid and continue till September 5 in Lahore. “This is the first and the only international tournament for women footballers this year,” a PFF official told The Express Tribune. “It matters a lot for the players because they don’t get to play internationally too often and this tournament last year was their first where they represented the country abroad.”
