Great Achievement. Prayers for his continued success.
On another note, hope the PM used his own money for the reward rather than our taxes
This should not be only the announcement. Raja Ji should do practical this time....
Well done brother, may ALLAH (SWT) bless you with more success in years to come.
whoops... I thought 1 million was 1 curore. My bad. This is why I didn't get any academic rewards.
This is crazy. Why do we have to go overboard with everything? How about giving him half a million and dividing the rest amongst the other 10? Does he have the maturity to handle that much money all of a sudden, considering his background? Will he even continue his hard work?
It's not a good idea giving cash. Given that he is not very well-off, he or his family might be tempted to invest it in a place other than his education.
Well deserved reward and sweet fruit of hard work. I wish our people work as hard as Muhsen Ali did in all fields of life and be proud of being Pakistani instead of being ashamed on some occasions. What a great kid!!!
its a good gesture but giving him a scholarship for further studies would have been better. congrats to Ali.
This is good work though I wonder how much of it will the exams topper get. And why just Punjab? Why no rewards announced for Sindh, KP and Balochistan?
Very encouraging!!!
The government should make a law that any student who will secure the first, second or third position in BA, BSc, BCom and onwards will be provided in federal or provincial government job and for such students the quota system in the job would not be applicable on him or her.
This will lead a health competition among the students in the country.
The government should accommodate Mohammad Muhsen Ali in any suitable job in the federal or provincial government to begin with.
39.85% pass rate? That is quite sad. As sad as the fact that the guy who came in first is a private student. Makes you wonder what all these schools are doing, apart from charging exorbitant fees.
Here's a thought. Put a minimum pass rate on each school in order for it to remain an educational institution.
Bravo!!! A very positive step by our transitory PM. Students like Muhsin actually deserve a lot more more for rewriting academic records in the country against all odds. These are the kind of heroes that our media must promote as role models.
Brilliant..... Though it would have been better if this amount was bestowed in the form of an educational fund rather than in the form of a cheque !
These re the Real SON of SOIL and the real Heros of our Nation,,not some good for nothing Bollywood Actor...
This Guy and many others like Him has made the whole Nation Proud...
BRAVO...
Thank you, Prime Minister, for doing this. Also, this young man should be given an award on the forthcoming Independence Day. He is national hero who has set an example for honest, hard work against all odds. Frankly, Prime Minister, it's Pakistanis like him who will one day pull Pakistan out of its problems -- not politicians like you or your boss Mr. Zardari or for that matter all those chatter boxes like Shariff brothers, "Ameerul- Momineen-in Waiting" Imran Khan, etc. and the terrible absconder, Musharraf -- not to speak of the highly politicized and unprincipled judges. I hope this young man inspires his generation to move forward and set into motion a process that will one day put one of them at the helm with a bunch of others like him helping him/her. Pakistan desperately needs them. Siddique Malik, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
Great Ali, Nation really required such youth who can change our homeland fate. We are proud of you.
Shaukat Isb
How did he do in Matriculation and F.A. exams? Did he secure any positions in previous exams as well or this one is just sheer luck.
With this money he should open one Tandoor for each of his family member to keep them busy esp. his father, who must try something else.
never a PPP fan but this is a nice gesture which will help this boy.
