Terminated: PPP dissolves regional bodies in G-B

Decision will help remove differences between party members and leaders: PPP leader

GILGIT: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has dissolved its regional bodies to revamp its standing in the region, officials said on Saturday. “We have dissolved all regional bodies except for the women and lawyers’ wings,” said Aftab Haider, PPP General Secretary Aftab Haider, adding that the decision has been taken in response to public complaints against office bearers who had become complacent with their positions. Haider was of the view that the decision will help remove differences between party members and leaders which have affected the party’s affairs over the years. “The decision on women and lawyers’ wings and selection of new office bearers would be taken after Eidul Fitr and a committee has been constituted for this purpose,” said Haider.
