Shehryar Ghani hit a half-century to guide Omar Associates into the semi-final of the 17th Dr MA Shah Night Trophy with a 57-run win over Punjab University at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. Batting first, Omar Associates posted 171 for seven in 20 overs with Ghani making 56, an innings that featured three sixes and five boundaries. Fahadul Haq, who managed a 40-run knock, was the other notable contributor. Medium pacer Ali Usman took three wickets. In reply, Punjab University failed to find the momentum, ending with 114 for eight. Jamil Aslam made 22, while Faraz Ahmed Khan captured two wickets.
