The court of additional sessions judge here on Friday convicted a man accused in a triple murder case and sentenced him to death on three counts.


Mir Afzal Abbasi had shot dead Safdar Zaman, his son Akhtar Zaman and their relative Mumtaz over a dispute in Khalabat Township two years back.

Shah was later arrested and tried in the court of Additional District Judge Fakhar Zaman Khan while Mir Afzal had absconded and was still at large. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court handed down death sentence to Shah with a fine of Rs600,000.
