Pak-Iran ties: Senate chief addresses Iranian Parliament

Chairman observed that Iran and Pakistan have collaborated on a number of projects.

ISLAMABAD: While addressing the Majlis Shura Islami (Iranian Parliament), Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said that inter-parliamentary relations of the two nations should be strengthened, alongside economic and trade linkages. He added that since the countries are key players in the region, hence they hold a profound impact on the region as a whole. The Chairman observed that Iran and Pakistan have collaborated on a number of projects including the Iran Pakistan Gas Pipeline project through which Pakistan will receive gas from its neighbour by December 2014. Other projects include transmission of 100 MW electricity by Iran to Gwadar.
