Stewart, Hiddleston voted hottest stars in showbiz

Despite the drama in Stewart’s personal life, she has been voted hottest actress by a magazine’s poll.

It’s been a difficult time for Twilight star Kristen Stewart since her secret fling with director Rupert Sanders spread like wildfire, leaving lover and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson shattered in pieces. Luckily, it’s not all bad news for Stewart. The scandal may have left her personal life in tatters but she can now take some solace in the fact that she has been voted the hottest actress in the world by the readers of Total Film magazine.

Stewart, whose film On The Road releases soon, beat contenders including actor Anne Hathaway and her Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Charlize Theron, in the poll which tallied about a quarter of a million votes, according to Huffingtonpost.com.

Actor Tom Hiddleston, on the other hand, has been named the world’s hottest actor. He ransacked artists like Ryan Gosling and Chris Hemsworth for the title. Hollywood actors Robert Downey Junior and Christian Bale were also “sent home” empty-handed. “I am absolutely astonished. To anyone and everyone who voted for me – thank you,” said 31-year-old Hiddleston. “To be nominated in such exalted company was honour enough, but this really is the icing on the cake.”

“Actors can’t call themselves actors without an audience to watch them, and the idea that you’re all out there and believing in the work I do, is a source of enormous pride for me,” he added. Hiddleston recently played the character of Loki, the villain in Avengers, which scooped its own awards for hottest film, and hottest scene.

Rosie Fletcher, Total Film magazine’s associate editor, said: “With almost a quarter of a million votes cast, the Total Film Hotlist awards truly take the temperature of what’s happening in film right now, celebrating everything our readers loved over the past 12 months and can’t wait to see in the next 12 months. Congratulations to all the deserving winners!” reports Huffingtonpost.com.
