Remembering heroes: Safwat Ghayur commemorated

He was ranked amongst the top officials in the country.

PESHAWAR: The second death anniversary of the late Frontier Constabulary (FC) Commandant Safwat Ghayur was observed at FC headquarters on Saturday. Ghayur was killed in a suicide attack in FC Square Saddar on August 4, 2010. He was serving as Commandant FC at the time, carrying out successful operations against the militants especially in the Frontier Region (FR) Peshawar. Prior to that he was the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar. Tribute was paid to Safwat Ghayur by guard of honour at his grave site. He was ranked amongst the top officials in the country.

A good man and great policeman. Sad to see the damage Taliban and strategic depth have caused to Pakistan.
