Cricket: HBL advance in T20 cup

KARACHI: HBL beat Port Qasim Authority (PQA) by 31 runs to remain in contention in the Advance Telecom 2nd Corporate T20 Cup. Opener Shan Masood smashed 56 off 54 balls as HBL made 136 for nine. Left-arm spinner Azma Hussain took three wickets for 25 runs while Tanveer Ahmed claimed two for 30. In reply, PQA struggled in the absence of their frontline batsmen Khalid Latif and Shazaib Hassan. Kamran Younus was the only notable scorer with 27 as PQA were bundled out for just 105. Shan was given the man of the match award. HBL will play their last fixture on Tuesday against unbeaten United Bank Limited.
