Forgery: Lawyer nominated in fake-papers FIR

An FIR was registered against a lawyer on Friday for allegedly making fake domicile certificates for two students.

LAHORE: An FIR was registered against a lawyer on Friday for allegedly making fake domicile certificates for two students. The FIR was registered against Mian Amir Abbas on the direction of District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal. Students, Amate Saleem and Fahad Saleem, said they had paid Rs2,200 to Abbas to obtain domicile certificate. The official fee is Rs200. The domicile certificates were found to have forged signatures of Assistant Commissioner Saira Umar.
