‘Water car’: Engineer sues doctor for ‘trying to undermine’ his invention
A self-proclaimed inventor of a water kit capable of powering a car is suing a former science and technology minister for undermining his work.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Agha Waqar said that Dr Attaur Rehman is baselessly trying to undermine his research, which is why he sent the legal notice. Dr Rehman had rejected the viability of the water kit based on the scientific law of conservation.
Waqar said Dr Rehman has rejected the experiment without personally examining it. “I challenge Dr Atta to physically examine the car as water is its sole source of fuel,” Waqar said. He added that the water kit is a small device attached in the car that separates hydrogen from water and supplies it to the engine.
He claimed that a 1,000CC vehicle will get 40 kilometres per litre of water while a one-KV generator could produce electricity for two hours on a litre of water.
The engineer said the water fuelling system was a “simple technology” in which hydrogen bonding with distilled water produces hydrogen gas to run a car engine.
Pakistan Science Foundation Chairman Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro, accompanying Waqar, said, “This is an extraordinary breakthrough and we should examine it carefully as the system may have national and international importance.”
However, he said that thorough testing is needed to validate the invention. Many important inventions through time have been made by non-scientists and the team’s work should not be arbitrarily ruled out, he added.
Earlier, a cabinet sub-committee praised the invention and assured the engineer of full support, with the invention due to be presented for approval in the next cabinet meeting.

i salute mr waqar for this invention. i watched him last night on capital talk. he is right on his way. our scientists are just under estimating him. they say non-pakistanis are going different sides and he is talking about water. they dont think that if non-pakistanis didnt had such inventions it never means pakistani cant do it.

Any wise person can understand at the spot that it is despicable crime to declare Agha Waqar a fraud with out finding physically any fraud in car that he has already demonstrated in front of top journalists politicians and many Ph.D's. Some theoretical Ph.D's has launched hate campaign against the greatest inventor of mankind history Agha Waqar. All objections of these some IRRESPONSIBLE Ph.D's do not carry any weight and sense. They WRONGLY claim, this invention violates laws of science; in fact it does not. The reason of their totally absurd claims is their jealousy against inventor & their inability to understand that new invention. Their universe of science has been stuck & confined to a blackbox called electrolysis. Just like a rusty deformed needle of a retired old wall clock is stuck at one place due to its weak battery. So these some useless jealous Ph.D's have lost their faculty to think OUT OF BOX. They will not understand mechanics of this greatest invention unless they start to think out of box. Sometime they say, Agha is not engineer, so he cannot invent. But Edison the biggest inventor of history was too neither Ph.D nor even B.Engg. Ata Rehman & Hoodbhoy are driving in wrong direction on one way road. Their all hue & cry is, that car cannot be run on electrolysis with battery but they do not know that method of Agha is ABSOLUTELY not conventional Electrolysis. His claim is doubtful, because even if everyone accept he found method to get hydrogen at lower energy input, Then two more questions popup, 1 that hydrogen is generated continuously so fast that it can run 1000CC engine and 2 can 1 liter water generate that much of hydrogen to run 40kms .... if agha Waqaris born ten times he can't reach the feet of Dr.AttaUrRehman who is a world famous scientist. He is the only pakistani who is the Fellow of British college of science.He has authored more the five hundred papers. I was surprize and regret Hamid Mir's listening silently when this guy was throwing abuse on Dr.Attaur Rehman in a recent Hamid Mir's t.v show.rember if you try to spit on moon it falls back on your face.

@Al-Chemisto: I was actually called by one of my friend who wanted to get clarification about this "super invention" as I am an energy scientist/engineer working in a university to develop hydrogen fuel cells for cars. Despite the fact I told him that we spent billions of dollars on developing new technologies how on earth this guy can claim in making such a claim he insisted on to investigate the matter. Dr. Attaurahman did a good job in refuting his claims on geo however, he didn't use any visual aid to make it easier for people to understand the conservation of energy laws. Scientist and engineers working at govt. agencies are always scared in Pak. to refute the claims of people like these who demonstrate these things to a few politicians (as they take it personally) and than tries to undermine them. In Pakistan these days people are desperate for energy, fuels and good news and the media acts very unresponsibly and unprofessionaly to provide such non confirmed things to people. We have a hydrogen pumping station at our university which only one of two currently available in the UK and for that we buy very expensive hydrogen from BOC gases, if this guy is that good, I can arrange for him to get paid at least a million dollars in a few months.
It is actually doable and people have done it before so it's not some new invention but the energy cartels won't let it see the light of day because then they cannot charge you and tax you. If there's no money to be made in it they suppress that technology. This guy better watch his back.

The invention is too impotent not to be calling for a revisit. In good old days of kingship, the king would have tested by fitting the “water kit” into the inventor, through a knob in an appropriate socket, and seen whether the inventor can run. Sad in modern age we do not have such opening.
First of All Agha waqar not present the hypotheses that other can reject him according to existing principle of Physic. He Demonstrating the experiment. Know wither he is making any fraud or not we only check this by practically not theoretically or any law of to day physics . Because many theory and even law of physics was change or rejected according to the new invention by chance or with new knowledge of science . Newton law of light was rejected by incoming scientist like Elbert .
So as Atta Rehman said that it may be fraud means it is possible that Agha waqar hid any source of fuel which connected with fuel tank of car it is possible so we first check it then we can say any think . In short science is the name of possibility. It is possible that Agha waqar create the technique of absolute energy or some think like that but it will be sure when PHD holder scientist first check that is it not a fraud . Ant it will be when scientist will go on ground to check the car . Not saying that it is fraud without checking it.

Agha Waqar what an ignorant fraud, doesn't even know that hydrogen bond is an inter molecular bond not intra molecular, therefore even if you break hydrogen bond you don't separate Hydrogen, the covalent bond needs to be broken in order to separate the gases here which needs an immense amount of energy itself, and even if you do there is the Law of Conservation of Energy.
So to sum up : total fraud and bogus invention claim.

The politicians, media anchors, people and the scientific/technological community of Pakistan lacks basic sense of scrutiny. Otherwise this non-sense would not have come into media. This non-sense will end up bringing shame to Pakistanis again. There is a small fraction of Pakistanis in scientific/technological community who talk sense, but rest of the Pakistanis will not pay any attention to them. You see even after graduating from Polytechnic , i simply cannot forever run my home and other expeneses in a country where loadshedding and other problems surface. I am married with kids, I have worked all my life with honesty with no reward.

Water breaks into hydrogen and oxygen at the expanse of energy which is this particular case is coming through car battery. In the next step, the hydrogen burns with oxygen to give energy and converts back in water. Even in the ideal case, the energy obtained from this hydrogen burning is only 82% of the energy used to break water in the first step. So this car is running on battery. After hearing all big ppl on this issue (except Dr. Atta ur rehman), all I can say is : RIP Science in Pakistan. P.S. Someone please check the nukes of Pakistan, are they really working ??
This Noble price winning invention is to increase the number of supporter of Hafiz Saeed . Later on Agha will tell them that water comming from India is devoid of power thats why his kit is not working . Electric has been extracted from it at different dams .

here is what really happened: he ordered this kit over the internet and joked to this friends that he had invented it. The media got the wind of it and in the breaking news syndrome ensured that all the media outlets tried to out do each other by talk shows and what not. He is trapped under the glare of the media and unable to speak the truth. Ah vanity. The next step would be for the taliban to show their support to this invention...

It appears that the invention is not in line with the basic laws of thermodynamics. however, if his invention is not a fraud, then it is a blessing. But as said by Dr. Sahaib the inventon should be completely checked by the engineers from the recocnised universities of Pakistan before we as a nation earn another medal of fraud. I understand how hydrogen can be used to generate mechanical power. This is not an invention. This is done before and because the risks associated with hydrogen are huge, this is not yet implemented for consumers.

Even if this technology is true, it can't be called perpetual motion since distilled water here is acting as an external source of energy.

I am a Mechanical Engineer with a Master's degree. Waqar is a fraud , there is no doubt about it. The questions raised by Dr. Ata ur Rehman were very valid. One thing which is really funny is that he is using distilled water as , according to him, other kind of water has minerals and chemicals. If the so called engineer has some basic knowledge of Physics , he would have used water with some chemical or mineral i.e. electrolyte . He is trying to defy laws of science , remember these are not theories that can be negated. I wont be surprised if someday he will say that gravity doesnt exist.

agha waqar is not claiming to deny the 1st law of T.D.
he claims that the device uses a specific ratio of the two gases produced. obviously one being used less is the raw material produced in addition to water. and internal combustion engine uses O2 from air being an additional input. SUBJECT OF INVESTIGATION IS THAT WHETHER THE SYSTEM PRODUCES H2 AND O2 OR SOME PLASMA and obviously judging from lack of know how of basic principles of science on part of eng. agha waqar, he has no way way of knowing what he has produced
there is no law that states that hydrolysis of distilled water(not with added electrolyte) using electrical resonance(that causes very high efficiency of energy utilization) will always produce O2 in addition to H2.

This "invention" goes against the First Law of Thermodynamics. Good luck to the man who is claiming an invention that contravenes this law. He will be the first to have built a Perpetual Motion device.

As to the "invention" itself: as long as the electricity used for electrolysing the water is not free, it is a completely useless way of powering a car. The efficiency losses in doing electricity -> electrolysis -> burning hydrogen -> converting that heat into motion using the internal combustion engine mean that it is much better to just power electric motors off the electricity.

So a possible invention by a Pakistani is now subjected to a possible delay in implementation. Both sides should get rid of their egos and work together to verify the claims. Only after full tests will we know the truth about this project.
Will the respected inventor clarify, if the said car runs on Water or Hydrogen obtained from the electrolysis of water. Does the power output of the car better than teh energy input in producing Hydrogen ?

The car may move, the car may even run purely off hydrogen as a result of electrolysis but sooner or later the battery (which in fact is providing the energy to run the car, hydrogen is just the medium the car can consume) will die as no matter how much you try, you just cannot achieve 100%+ efficiency in this universe at least.

I would suggest Agha Waqar should register his invention as patent otherwise western scientist will discredit his creation in the name of scientific law of conservation. If proven, this invention will bring huge change in the world.
In Scientific World everyone have to be proved his by some technical specifications and also it needs a patent most of the time and scientific Papers with Mathematical and Simulation analysis. I am an Engineer myself and i know how everything is governed in Engineering field. If Atttaur Rehman is objecting then he have a right to do so. He is a PHD and i know how one PHD really becomes and he knows how things work. Also so far the inventor of Car Kit have not been able to provide us with any Mathematical and Simulation data that could corroborate his claim. Infact the international community can actually sue the Inventor of Car Kit because he claimed that Law of Thermodynamics and Conservation of Energy does not hold and that is a shock actually to any scientist who know they laws actually.
