Change of status: Two hospitals made autonomous

SIALKOT: Two public hospitals in Sialkot have been awarded administrative autonomy by the Punjab government. This was announced by District Coordination Officer Zahid Saleem Gondal during a press conference on Wednesday. The two hospitals, the Government Allama Iqbal Memorial hospital and the Government Sardar Begum Memorial hospital, have been given autonomy. Gondal said both the hospitals will now be affiliated with Khwaja Safdar Medical College, Sialkot. He said the government was making all efforts to solve the problems at the DHQ hospitals.
