FIA sends reminder to Interpol for red warrant against Musharraf
The FIA prosecutor confirmed that a reminder had been dispatched to the Interpol through the National Central Bureau (NCB).
Prosecutor of the case Chaudhry Zulfiqar, talking to The Express Tribune, also clarified media reports stating that the Interpol had rejected Pakistan’s request to issue a red warrant against Musharraf and said that the FIA has not received any such reply from them.
He denied media reports which said that the Interpol rejected the request on the grounds that Pakistani authorities and the FIA had sent insufficient documentation for the purpose of issuing a red warrant.
He clarified that more than two months ago, a letter issued by the Interpol stated that it could not issue a red warrant based on the evidences and the documentation presented for the arrest of the former president. The Interpol had also asked about the validity of the warrant issued against Musharraf by the Anti Terrorism Court Rawalpindi.
In reply to the letter, the FIA had immediately dispatched the summary of the case, the arrest warrant and documentation in addition to the investigation reports. It also included copies of statements by then director-general of National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) of Ministry of Interior (MOI) Brigadier (retd) Javed Iqbal Cheema and former director general of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Ejaz Shah, and US-based journalist Marc Siegel’s email to Benazir Bhutto and copies of the orders issued by the anti-terrorism court and other relevant documents, Zulfiqar added.
He further said that that the FIA has clarified to the Interpol that the perpetual warrant of arrest is valid till the arrest of the accused.

He reminded the world of us and I quote: "Today we are the poorest, the most illiterate, the most backward, the most unhealthy, the most un-enlightened, the most deprived, and the weakest of all the human race."emphasized text Although some people will not accept it, the West surely has lost patience with us. In developed countries we fall behind in education, employment and health. We need to start from scratch and forget about medieval times. This is 2012.

If you want Musharraf then negotiate an extradition treaty with the UK -- Interpol isn't going to circumvent UK's sovereignty just to make your FIA happy.

This is the biggest blow to Pakitan's fake independent Judiciary who are favoring Nawaz party and Sharif family and giving illogical statments and judgements agains Musharraf. It is rapildy loosing its credibility and the CJ Iftikhar should take notice and fire the ATC judge and also fine Mr .Zulfiqar for putting Pakistan,s reputaion down
Musharraf is truly the leader of national and International repute. When this red warrant was isssued he siad nothing is going to happen as he knew this is fake .Thanlks Nawaz money had have no influence on interpol

What kind of a warrant is this????? It is valued in Pakistan only, They don t believe our
courts. 85% terrorist were set free in this country U S reports. Take the case of
Karachi 12 to15 poor people killed every day when the culprit is presented in the
courts either bail is given or with dignity the Murderer walk out. No one in this country
follow the law and order how one except from others.. Instead of wasting
money on false cases bring the real culprit to the books. Musharraf was good to his

This is a classic case of hatered. Musharraf may have been bad for the politicians coz he was in the way of their corruption. But was he bad for the people? Ask them. They will tell you, they were well off under him.
Mr. Nawaz Sharif was toying with all previous COSs and humiliated them. The army was not going to take it lying down this time round. The coup took place air not on the ground. What Nawaz Sharif forgets are his misdeeds. He brought the house upon himself. He should do some reality check and get out of the hate mode.
That judge ATC is a tout of Nawaz Sharif. There is no way you can fix the blame of Benazir murder on Musharraf. He was the head of the State. Did he order the murder? No. In fact he was the biggest loser with her departure. Both had an understanding. Why would he eliminate his partner? Highly foolish and foolish he isn't. President does not go and kill nor can he be blamed for the inefficiency of the system. Accusing him is totally rubbish.
Sanity should prevail in judiciary and executive and they better stop this witch hunt. They are wasting time of the people and national wealth. If judiciary is so good then why do cases in Pakistan take forever to be resolved with the corrupt to the core judiciary. The judiciary should focus on people's issues.
