Local broadcasting: K-P to have new TV channel

PESHAWAR: A meeting chaired by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikahr Hussain was held on Tuesday to discuss the establishment of Pakhtunkhwa TV. It was decided that Pakhtunkhwa TV would be on air within the next three months. Secretary for Information and Public Relations and former PTV general manager Majahid Bin Syed was also present in the meeting. The meeting also discussed sources of funds for the establishment of the TV channel.

The K-P government had decided to establish a TV channel some time ago to provide a range of programming in local languages including news, entertainment, sports and informative programmes.
