The violence continues: Two men gunned down

KARACHI: A constable of the Excise and Taxation Department was shot dead at Guru Mandir Chowrangi on Tuesday, said the Jamshed Quarters police. DSP Qaiser Ali Shah that the motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. Thirty-five-year-old Noor Mohammad aka Bengali, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was shot dead near his home on Chand Bibi Road, Bohra Pir, within Eidgah police limits on Tuesday. DSP Zahid Hussain said that the deceased was associated with the MQM unit no. 29, and suspected that the incident appeared to be a part of the spate of target killings of political workers. An investigation was underway.
