Speaking to media in Abbotabad along with the leader of Tehreek-e-Suba Hazara, Rizvi said the country is facing a law and order situation both internally and externally and it needs to have a policy based on consensus for coming 10 to 20 years.
Rizvi further said that a committee should be formed with representatives from all the concerned parties and it should be tasked with setting an agenda for future policy.
“The policy should focus on security, power crisis and all other challenges faced by the country,” he said.
“Everyone should sit and discuss the issues in detail and form a policy based on consent,” he added.
MQM has been meeting various political parties in its attempt to hold a roundtable conference to discuss national issues featuring stakeholders – including military leadership, religious and political leaders and intellectuals.

@Mohammad Akram Virk: What "what about India"? You came, converted us and we gave you half of our country. Now what else do you want? Remain ANTI INDIA and beat your own drums.
@Raj: What about India - Look your face in the mirror.
Policies of staying An other 20 years in LONDON and Dubai But never come to Pakistan. Collect money and run away from Pakistan. Look at your character then open your mouth.
MQM has been in governments of PPP, PML (N) and Martial Administrators since 2 decades. Target killings, elimination of opponents and formation of No Go areas are on its top credentials. What had stopped it from implementing the genious agenda that it is presenting today after being an ally of 4 and half years of PPP current government?
i ll bring peace in karachi ...active CM and a friend of MQM :)
Pakistan has a consensus based policy since 1947. ANTI INDIA.
@aysha: Fully agree with you. Haider Abbas Rizvi is the man.
The RTC idea may be a non-starter but the country desperately needs to delineate a long-term policy. While adhering to it, making only adjustments of a small nature to suit the demand of the time. Nevertheless, for this, Pakistan will require a strong man who understands the pulse of the nation and is educated, which sadly the majority of our leaders are not.
Keeping aloof from education by our politicos and mullas is analogical to the men who kept away from the Greek mythological woman 'Medusa.' This fright of education (Medusa) will have to be overcome by a Perseus who finally slew Medusa.
If this comparison is out of place, please correct me. Salams
P.S. Most of Muttaheda's members have a 'bona fide' university degree.
Haider Abbas Rizvi - Prime Ministerial material!

Haider Abas Rizvi - Prime Ministerial material!
If MQM can't consent on Karachi issue, how they will agree on future policy. Just trying to regain it's credibility.
