Karachi port trust: Jawed Hanif Khan takes over chairmanship
Khan replaced Muhammad Aslam Hayat as chairman of the KPT
KARACHI:
Jawed Hanif Khan, a veteran of the District Management Group of the Civil Superior Services (CSS), has replaced Muhammad Aslam Hayat as chairman of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), a statement issued on Monday said.
Khan started his career in 1986. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (civil) from NED University, Master of Arts (economics) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Karachi.
Before joining the KPT, Khan served as director general of planning and development at the Port Qasim Authority. He has also worked as district coordination officer of Karachi, deputy commissioner of Karachi (central), deputy commissioner of Sukkur and Badin.
